Pretty Polishes

Over the past few weeks I've gradually collected up a few new nail polishes. Usually, when I go shopping, I tend to spend the majority of my money on clothes instead of beauty and make-up products. I don't know why, maybe because as soon as I step foot in Topshop, I can't stop myself! Sadly, this means I reject my nails and they rarely get painted. So as it's the Easter hols I've promised myself I will paint them more often (hopefully meaning I wont bite them as much) and treat them a little nicer.

As I am quite uneducated in the 'nail world' I don't really know which are the best polishes to use and how not to get the paint all over my hand instead of on my actual nails. Despite this, I have journeyed into Boots three times in the past two weeks (thankfully without knocking over any stands - because that would be embarrassing!) and bought three new polishes. Not knowing which brands are best; I resorted to buying each one from a different stand, in hope that at least one of them wouldn't go gloopy.

Thankfully, my tactics worked and I now have three lovely new polishes that I've been really enjoying using!

My first purchase was 'Rimmel London - I Love Lasting Finish' in '705 Tangy Tangerine' (£2.99 - Boots).  This is a gorgeous orange colour that dries so quickly meaning its perfect for the impatient people (like me) who can't stay still and wait for their nails to dry. Secondly, I picked up '304 Mint Green' by 'Nail Paint by Barry M' (£2.99 - Boots). Yet another beautiful colour, I'm thinking this one will be perfect for summer! Finally, I got the 'Max Factor Max Effect Mini Nail Polish' in '75 Mellow Yellow' (£3.99 - Boots). Although being a bit clumpier, then the other two polishes, when applied, it is again a lovely summer colour which I am currently wearing as I write this post.

I love my new polishes and they are defiantly going to encourage me to buy more nail polishes and I will now be painting my nails much more often.

Happy Easter everyone! Tell me below which polishes you like to use :)

Tanya Burr Lips and Nails | In Store Soon!

Like most of the female population, I love the Youtuber/Blogging sensation Miss Tanya Burr; so when she announced that she was releasing her own range of lip glosses and nail polishes I was over the moon! Firstly, they were only sold online, which sadly meant I couldn't get my hands on some (not yet old enough for a debit card). After seeing millions (and I mean millions) of photos and posts of people who've purchased the beautiful products, I've grown more envious by the day. Thankfully my wait is finally over! As of tomorrow - Wednesday 9th April 2014 - they will be going into 200 Superdrug stores across the UK, gorgeously presented on their own little stand! Below is the list of Superdrug stores which will stock them.

In total there are 12 shades of lip gloss and 10 shades of nail varnish. Having spent endless hours, browsing the Internet, admiring the wonderful products, I defiantly know which ones will be my firsts to buy: I NEED the lip gloss in Afternoon Tea as it is a beautiful natural pinky colour which looks so easy to wear.
Secondly, I will also be getting the lip gloss in Vampire Kiss. This dark red
looks so elegant and will be great for a night out. Finally, the two nail polishes that are going to somehow *wink wink* find their way into my basket, are Bright And Early, and Little Duck because they are both the perfect colours for spring and the approaching summer!

Tell me below in the comments, which is your favourite from Tanya Burr Lips and Nails?

March Favourites | 2014

As of today I am blogging again! For the last several months, due to having a lot of school and life stuff to do, I have defiantly been neglecting my blog. But don't worry because I'm back for good now. Now April (woah this year's going quickly) I've decided to share some of the clothes, beauty products and random other things that I have discovered/re-discovered throughout March.

My fist favourite is the gorgeous Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub (£8 - Boots). Not only does this scrub smell AMAZING (a scent of smashed brown sugar & sweet lime, almond oil & macadamia grains) it also exfoliates the skin perfectly without leaving it feeling irritated. I have found myself spending far to long in the shower because it is just so addictive. Secondly, now that spring has officially sprung, this daisy bracelet (£3 - River Island) has been my staple accessory for the past month. The delicateness of it adds a girly, feminine touch to any outfit. It's just so easy to wear! Third on my favourites list is the VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray (£3.69 - Superdrug), I prefer not to use much heat on my hair because I'm trying to grow it, however when I have, this has been my savoir! As well as protecting my hair, it has left it feeling extremely soft and shiny. What more could you ask for! Finally, the last thing I've loved , well read, throughout March is a beautiful book, by the brilliant author John Green, called Looking For Alaska (£5.59 - Amazon). I haven't read many of Green's books so when I picked this one up I didn't really know what to expect; despite this, I got reading straight away and I'm glad I did because it's wonderful. Written from the protagonist Miles Halter's point of view, the book follows him as he moves school, attempts to make friends, falls in love, makes mistakes and battles with tragedy. A definite tear jerker but it had me crying with laughter equally.

What are your March favourites?
